Will Fleury set to fight K-1 Champion

After much anticipation for Will Fleury’s 2nd professional bout in MMA, bad news came for Tipperary native ahead of his Cage Legacy One bout with Chris Meaney.¬†

Fleury (1-0) in his pro career and (7-0) in his amateur had a 2nd opponent change in the space of a few short weeks.

Training under John Kavanagh in SBG, Fleury called out any man in frustration as the middleweight has had multiple jobs in the last year.

Cage Legacy was forced to pull Meaney from his main card clash with Fleury due to medical reasons.

Speaking to the Cage Legacy President, Declan Kenna earlier today, Kenna expressed his disappointment for another pull out however had some good news to add:

“Obviously, Will [Fleury], Myself and Chris [Meaney] are disappointed that this bout is not going ahead against two great, well rounded, exciting fighters. But, Fighter safety comes first. In place of Chris Meaney we were able to get another high caliber fighter in the shape of ISKA Middleweight K-1 Champion K-1 ¬†Dawid Blaszke in a professional 84kg ¬†K-1 bout.”

Dawid Blaszke, 30 years old from Naas kickboxing normally fights at 76-78kg, coached by Paddy Clint. Current ISKA middle weight champion 13f 9w in total.¬†Blaszke’s last fight was just three weeks ago and he won it by KO so this is a match for the fight fans really to enjoy.

The promotion is very happy to get Fleury a match as he is relenting to showcase his skills.

His new opponent comes in the form of K-1 champion Dewid Blaszke, a hardened, tough opponent for Fleury, taking the fight on one day notice.

Blaszke,30, fights out of Naas kickboxing under Paddy Clint and is the current ISKA middle weight champion, however, Blaszke usually fights at 78kgs and has 9 wins to his 13 fights.

Certainly a fight not to be missed. Not many tickets left get yours now

Dana White says McGregor will never fight in Las Vegas again

Dana White in an interview on The Herd¬†with Colin Cowherd has said that the “Notorious” Conor McGregor will never fight in Las Vegas again.¬†

Conor has broken PPV records in the MGM Grand, the UFC venue where he has fought the most, and White believes that the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) has made a foolish move:

“Conor McGregor hit me yesterday and said, ‚ÄėI don’t ever want to fight in Nevada again. Ever,'” White said. “How does that make sense for the state of Nevada? That you’re gonna try to fine this kid and Nate that kind of money, it just makes people not want to come fight in our state. And that’s not a good thing.”

White’s comments come on the back of McGregor’s fine of $150,000 and 50 hours of community service.

What do you think? Is this penalty to the fighters too harsh?
