Today we caught up with SBG prospect Will Fleury ahead of his upcoming professional MMA middleweight bout against Swedish MMA star Simon Rosenholm from Allstars training Centre in Sweden. Will Fleury is on top form right now, undefeated so far in his amateur and professional MMA career Fleury will be looking to add to his tally with a win over International opposition at Cage Legacy 3 July 22nd.

How did you get into the sport?? “I had older brothers who used to whoop my ass, played rugby for 12 years, needed something super intense to prove myself and here we are”

What’s your favourite Strike/Submission: I don’t discriminate, I’m an equal opportunity ass whooper, whatever he gives me the opportunity to make him unconscious with the quickest.will

Who or what inspires you the most?
Munster rugby, Me, Stoic fuckers, Anyone one who overcomes hardship and keeps their shit together.

How do you see this fight ending?
His body on the floor, my hands in the air.

What is next for you after this fight?.
More ass whooping’s, more money and a few belts for good measure”

Breaking: Mlambo Vs Maguire announced for Cage Legacy 2 showdown

Frans Mlambo (SBGi) Vs Arann Maguire (BJJ Cork) professional bantamweight bout has been announced for Cage Legacy 2 for March 24th 2017 in the TLT theatre Drogheda.

This is the first professional bout announced for Cage legacy 2 and what a fight it is, two of Ireland’s young upcoming prospects will go head to head in a fight that many fans have wanted to see for a long time.

Mlambo (2-2) fighting out of the world famous SBGi in Dublin Ireland, is labeled by many to have a bright future in the sport. Mlambo has battled on some of the biggest stages in the world and represented Ireland at the 2015 IMMAF world championship where he won a gold medal for his country.

Maguire (0-1) from BJJ Cork is himself one of Ireland’stop prospects, After a great run in the amateur rankings and picking up championship titles he tuned professional last year. Maguire is also a coach in BJJ Cork and trains many young up and coming fighters.

Daryl Clarke (SBGi) Vs Darren O’Brien (SANDA MMA) added to Cage Legacy Fight Night Drogheda on the 11th of February in The Barbican, Drogheda, Ireland.

Clarke from Drogheda and fighting out of the world famous Straight Blast Gym holds a very impressive record of 5 -3 in amateur bouts. Clarke also represented Ireland at the 2016 IMMAF World Championships in Las Vegas and comes into this contest with plenty of experience and will get to showcase his skills in his hometown Drogheda.

O’Brien fighting from SANDA MMA holds a very impressive MMA record of 4-1  and has Kickboxing and K-1 titles in other organisations and will be looking to silence the home crowd on fight night. Neilan trains under head coach John Kavanagh in the world famous Straight Blast Gym Ireland (SBGi) and will make her Cage Legacy debut at Cage Legacy Fight Night Drogheda on the 11th February 2017. Neilan is rated by many as “One to watch for the future”.

Dee “Diesel” Begley – WAKO Vice European Kickboxing Champion 2016. 6 time National Kickboxing Champion. IATBA Senior Boxing Champion. Winner of IATBA vs English Universities International. Has made the Irish team for the last 6 years and has over 30 international fights. Begley will be looking to pick up what would be a fantastic win over Neilan when both woman lock horns at Fight Night Drogheda.

Ciaran Clarke defends Lightweight Championship in Hometown!

We spoke today with the first ever and current Cage Legacy Lightweight Champion Ciaran Clarke (SBGi) ahead of his upcoming title defence against Adam Nowak (Arena Wexford) on Cage Legacy Fight Night Drogheda on February 11th 2017.


Clarke will make his first defence of the title in his home town Drogheda.

How did you get in to the sport? “I was always interested in fighting since I was young from watching the WWE thinking it was real always wrestling with my brother and when I was in 15 one of my mates in school was doing it and he said I think you would be good you should try it and I did and loved it.”


What’s your favorite strike/submission to use in any fight? “I love body shots because some guys can be tough and take the shots but you hit someone in the right spot in the body you can’t take many of those and chokes because there’s no tough guys when it comes chokes you don’t tap your going to sleep and that’s that”


Who is your biggest inspiration? “I take inspiration from a lot of things like people who follow their dreams, people who battled cancer or you see people who lost a load of weight or came from nothing to making something with there life that’s amazing I think.”

What does it mean (for you) to be a fighter? “I love fighting and everything about this sport the people you meet, what it has taught me about myself and it has changed me into who I am today”

“I mix it up well and can fight anywhere I do what I have to do to win and I am one of the most experienced guys on the amateur scene.”


If you could have one dream fight with anyone, who would it be? “Anyone of the best guys in the world just to test myself against them.”
